Alicia Alegado

Alicia Alegado

Alicia's Background

Alicia Alegado is a spiritual director in the Silicon Valley area. She is an empathetic and nurturing individual who invites vulnerability and sincerity in her interactions with others. Before moving to Silicon Valley in January 2017, she offered spiritual direction to her Santa Barbara community and served with the women’s ministries at her church. She received her training in spiritual direction at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago. Currently, she attends Great Exchange Covenant Church in Sunnyvale, where she enjoys the friendly and culturally vibrant congregation.

Alicia's description of Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction has been called the process of Holy discovery—the focus is on how someone is actual experiencing her relationship with God. Spiritual direction helps people to recognize the presence and movement of God in their life, so that they may experience a deeper relationship with Him.

Alicia says, "As a spiritual director I help people attend to and respond to God's invitation to them through attentive listening, contemplative prayer and discernment in a compassionate and confidential context."

Dr. Luisa Johnson

Luisa's Background

Dr Luisa Johnson served our Lord for 30+years as a Clinical Psychologist in Ventura County, California. She attended Fuller Theological Seminary in the 1970's at a time when women were just beginning to be recognized as ordained leaders. She "retired" in 2013 due to a bout with Lyme Disease. God saw fit to guide her recovery and then called her to be a spiritual director in 2015. This has opened a deepening path of contemplative practices and the blessing of companioning others.
