Springs-Central CA

The Springs Retreat—Three Rivers, CA

Central California

Wednesday-Friday, April 17-19, 2024

Cost: $349 Private Room, Private Bath, 5 meals

The Program

At home there can be so much noise keeping us from fully saying, “Yes!” to God’s invitations.

Allie Case shares her experience at The Springs.

At The Springs Retreat there’s time to go for a walk and pay particular attention to the smallest details of nature which helps us to settle in. Gradually the internal noise begins to quiet. There’s time to breathe deeply and take a luxurious nap if you’re tired. There’s time to enjoy God’s gifts of delicious healthy food and friendship at meals. Time for heartfelt worship, praying, and listening as you pray and read the Scriptures. There’s time to simply be still with the Lord. The program is designed for women who love and serve Jesus so that they might be refreshed, filled to overflowing with a deeper knowledge of God’s love, and return home ready to pour themselves out once again in service.

Meet the Team

Betsy, Elaine, Christy, Luann, Darlene, and Kim Bagato—The Springs Retreat co-facilitators

We have found that spending time with the Lord has transformed our spiritual lives. We come from a variety of Christian churches and have served in a variety of ministries. We have different educational backgrounds. Some of us work full-time in secular positions, some of us serve in full-time ministry, and some are retired. What we have in common is a deep love for the Lord and a desire to spend time with him, both in the Word and in prayer.

Luann, Elaine, Betsy and Christy co-lead The Springs Retreat in Three Rivers, CA.

Betsy, and Christy also co-lead the pastor’s wives retreat in northern California.

She understands from her own experience the challenges of being a pastor’s wife and is called to help women flourish as they serve in ministry.

Elaine served in women's ministries for over 20 years. She loves helping to bring organization into the lives of busy women. She is the author of Tapestry—a devotional book. Elaine co-leads NEWIM’s confidential prayer ministry and is a co-facilitator of The Springs Retreat—Central California. Elaine attends Campus Bible Church in Fresno. She enjoys being involved with women's ministries, and finds great joy co-leading the Central and NorCal Springs retreats, NEWIM's NorCal retreat for pastor's wives, and a quarterly NEWIM small group gathering at her home in Oakdale, CA.

St. Anthony’s Retreat Center

As Protestants, we are so grateful that St. Anthony’s retreat center welcomes us for our retreat. The retreat center is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in central California, about 5 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park, 30 miles east of Visalia. If you are flying, the closest airport is in Fresno, about 1-1/2 hours away.

The wildflowers are stunning in the spring and wildlife is abundant. There’s the “add-on” option of coming in a day or two prior to the retreat if you would like to settle in a bit or explore the area.

St. Anthony’s offers women the privacy of a private room with a private shower/bath. Each room has a desk, no distractions from television or telephones.

There is a beautiful statuary garden path to enjoy, many places for reflection, and trails for walking on the grounds and in the adjacent forestry area.

St. Anthony’s has a lovely chapel for prayer, reflection and worship.

The staff respects the needs of people on retreat and provides a safe, quiet, set-apart location that is perfect for a retreat that incorporates lots of time for silence and solitude.

The food is healthy and delicious—coffee is ready by 6 a.m. and a variety of teas and soft drinks are available around the clock, as well as homemade cookies and a variety of snacks.

St. Anthony’s retreat center is a delightful place to spend time with God and be renewed by the Holy Spirit.

Visit the St. Anthony’s website for additional details and a map to their retreat center.
