Springs-Arizona
The Springs Retreat - Paradise Valley, AZ
Wednesday - Friday, March 18-20, 2026
The AZ Springs is held in Paradise Valley, AZ at the Franciscan Renewal Center, a peaceful haven surrounded by mountain views and the beauty of the desert landscape.
Your invitation…
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11
Imagine this: you step away from the constant hum of demands—emails, errands, conversations that never quite finish—into a place where the air itself seems to breathe peace. The Arizona sun warms your skin, but a gentle breeze carries the scent of desert sage. You hear the soft trickle of water in a courtyard fountain, and somewhere in the distance, a mourning dove calls. Here, in the heart of the desert, the landscape opens wide, and so does your soul.
Jesus’ invitation still stands: “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” His voice is tender, steady, insistent—not because he needs something from you, but because he knows you are thirsty. You have been pouring yourself out in service, prayer, care, and work. The stream that once ran strong sometimes feels like it’s slowing to a trickle. But here, in this sacred space, Living Water is ready to flow again.
The Arizona Springs Guided Retreat is designed for this very moment—when you long for more of God’s presence but need help stepping out of the swirl of everyday life. Through Scripture, guided reflections, unhurried solitude, and time in God’s creation, you will find your roots reaching deeper into his life-giving waters. You will taste the refreshment of stillness, hear God’s whispers more clearly, and carry home the assurance that the stream never runs dry.
For over 25 years, The Springs Retreats have been places of restoration for women—safe havens where the noise quiets, the Spirit speaks, and the soul breathes again. This desert, often called barren, becomes the very place where the streams run deepest. The invitation is here. The only question is—will you come and drink?
Who Will Benefit from the Arizona Springs Retreat?
This retreat is for women who love and serve Jesus—whether you carry a formal title or simply live out your faith in quiet, everyday ways. Pastors’ wives, women’s ministry leaders, Bible study teachers, and faithful friends who serve in unseen places—you are all welcome here. It’s not your role that matters most, but your desire to walk closely with the Lord and be refreshed in His presence.
What Will You Experience at the Arizona Springs Retreat?
Our time together weaves the stillness of solitude with the richness of community. You’ll gather with the group to reflect on Scripture and life, share meals, and pray in small circles of encouragement. Chapel services, filled with simple songs of praise and brief devotional thoughts, will gently guide you into extended times of silence with the Lord. Those unhurried hours are yours—whether you walk the sunlit trails, rest beside the lazy river, find a quiet bench in the shade, or curl up in your private room with your Bible and journal. Every step is an invitation to draw near to the heart of God.
What Can You Expect?
The retreat center offers beauty and breathing room—space to spread out and savor the quiet. The guest rooms are simple and peaceful, with just what you need for rest. An extra towel, a cozy blanket, or your favorite pillow from home will make it even more comfortable. The sweetest luxury of all? The space is yours alone, a private haven for meeting with the Lord.
What Happens as a Result?
No matter the season of life you’re in, you’ll leave with your soul refreshed—watered by the Lord until you overflow. You will return to your relationships and responsibilities not with the same weary spirit you brought, but with a renewed heart, steady and strong, carrying the living water of Christ into every place He sends you.

At home, she treasures time with her three adult children, her son-in-law, and her two grandsons—whether gathered around a table, hiking Arizona’s trails, or camping. Life, to Heidi, is an adventure best lived with God at the center and others by your side.

Reflection & Prayer Prompt
"You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." —Isaiah 58:11
Close your eyes and picture a garden in the middle of the desert—lush, fragrant, and alive because of a hidden, constant stream. Now, imagine your soul as that garden.
● Where have you felt dry or weary lately?
● Where have you seen God’s refreshment quietly sustaining you?
Prayer:
Lord, I am thirsty for you. Draw me to the waters that never run dry. Let your presence soak into every place in me that feels parched, until I overflow with your life again.
